Donny Lia was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the July 25 Power Stroke Diesel 200 at O’Reilly Raceway Park. Lia scored a ninth-place finish, his third top-10 in 14 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races and claimed Raybestos Rookie of the Race honors for the third time this season. Lia scored the first top-10 by a rookie at O’Reilly Raceway Park since Erik Darnell placed 10th in 2006. Colin Braun leads the Raybestos Rookie standings by 13 points (143-130) over Donny Lia entering the August 9 Toyota Tundra 200 at Nashville Superspeedway. Braun is 14th in the Craftsman Truck Series championship standings, best of any Raybestos Rookie. Joey Clanton was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the 2007 Toyota Tundra 200, scoring a 10th-place finish. Carl Edwards is the only Raybestos Rookie to win at Nashville in seven previous Craftsman Truck Series races. Edwards took the checkered flag by 1.209 seconds over Ted Musgrave in 2003.
