#99-Carl Edwards won the Sharpie 400 at Bristol Motor Speedway for his 6th win of 2008 and 13th of his career. #18-Busch finished 2nd followed by #11-Hamlin, #29-Harvick, #24-Gordon, #12-Newman, #07-Bowyer, #17-Kenseth and #6-Ragan. #88-Earnhardt Jr. finished 18th after getting a lap down at the beginning of the race when he passed before the drop the green flag. #18-Busch didn’t like the way he was passed late by #99-Edwards and ran into the #99 after the race, Edwards then came back down and wacked the #18 car and spun it, Busch went to chase down the #99, but NASCAR told Busch to get off the track, so he did. #48-Johnson lost a tire early and finished 33rd and #9-Kahne got caught up in a wreck and finished 40th, dropping him out of the chase with 2 races to go. #31-Burton got wrecked and finished 42nd but stays in 5th the points.
