SK Motorsports has shifted from Patrick Carpentier to driver Donny Lia for this weekend’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway after sponsorship fell through and the team opted not to have Carpentier fly in from Canada. Lia will drive in this weekend’s race, and David Green, who has been driving for the team, will remain with the group in a management role. “We have been very fortunate and grateful to have David Green start the season with us and bring us to where we are today,” team owner Peter Szekeres said. “David has a future with the team and will be fulfilling several roles for SKM.” The owner added that the team will continue to seek sponsorship for Carpentier.(Scene Daily)(5-21-2009)
