The green dot placed in the upper right-hand corner of the windshield is inthinc inc.’s tiwi brand logo placed on the lap counter, which ensures accurate timing and scoring information for NASCAR. Although the logo is only apparent on the windshields in the Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series, the tiwi lap counter is also used by NASCAR in the Sprint Cup Series. inthinc’s Crash Data Recorder is also on board each vehicle in NASCAR’s top three series. This technology is similar to “black box” data recorders used in the airline industry.
