Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team co-owned Tony Stewart and Haas Automation, has formed a technical partnership with Sandvik Coromant. With its global headquarters in Sandviken, Sweden and its U.S. headquarters in Fair Lawn, N.J., Sandvik Coromant is the worlds leading producer of tools for turning, milling and drilling. This partnership with SHR allows the cutting tool company to become an official team sponsor, while providing SHR with all of its indexable tooling needs for its Haas CNC machines. Sandvik Coromant will add another dimension in technical expertise for SHR when it comes to finding machining solutions and employing the industrys latest techniques. It also strengthens Sandvik Coromants relationship with Oxnard, Calif.-based Haas Automation, the largest CNC machine tool builder in the western world.(SHR)(6-12-2009)
