Ted Christopher will go looking to hit the track with the Sprint Cup Series next weekend at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Christopher will look to make his seventh Sprint Cup Series start in the Lenox Industrial Tools 301 at New Hampshire on June 28. Christopher will attempt to qualify a [#27 Toyota] car owned by Kirk Shelmerdine. Christopher has driven Shelmerdine owned cars in three previous Sprint Cup events at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. “I went over to see him last weekend when I was [in North Carolina],” Christopher said. “He said come over and try the seat in the car. It fit good and he called me on Monday and said they he had got a sponsor and wanted me to run his car. I’m looking forward to it. I think I’ve made the race for him every time we’ve tried to qualify at New Hampshire.” Christopher last started in a Sprint Cup Series event in September 2006, finishing 41st at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in a Shelmerdine owned car.(Hartford Courant)(6-19-2009)
