#14-Tony Stewart won the Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway for his 2nd win of 2009 and the 35th of his career. #18-Busch passed Stewart coming to the white flag and led through turn 4, but Stewart gave him a bump and tried to pass on the outside, Busch moved up to block and Stewart moved him out of the way, spinning Busch into the wall. Busch was then hit by #9-Kahne and several other cars were collected at the start-finish line. #48-Johnson finished second followed by #11-Hamlin, #99-Edwards, #2-Busch, #47-Ambrose, #83-Vickers, #17-Kenseth, #42-Montoya, and #19-Sadler. There was also a big wreck on lap 77 that involved 13 cars. There were 8 cautions for 30 laps and there were 23 lead changes among 10 drivers.
