Ken Schrader – 5 races in 6 days:

Former Sprint Cup driver, Ken Schrader, on track to race in at least 100 events this year – a pace he’s been on for the last 30 years – the Fenton, Missouri favorite will add five more next week, including ARCA RE/MAX Series events at Toledo Speedway (Friday, September 4) and the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds mile-dirt (Monday, September 7). “Yah, I get tired,” said Schrader, “but I never get tired of it.” That’s a good thing because Schrader’s itinerary next week is going to keep him hopping from Wednesday through Monday. It starts at Macon Speedway (Illinois) Wednesday night where Schrader is scheduled to race a modified on the tight, high-banked Macon dirt bullring. “Thursday night I’m going to bond with Drager (ARCA president Ron Drager),” added Schrader. And that’s because Schrader will head from Macon to Toledo Speedway for Friday night’s ARCA RE/MAX 200 presented by Federated and Belle Tire. Schrader is a four-time winner at Toledo with victories in ’97, ’04, ’05 and ’06. From Toledo, Schrader will steer west to his own I-55 Speedway in Pevely, Missouri where he’ll climb in his dirt late model for more short-track fun Saturday night. On Sunday, it’s off to Eagle, Nebraska to race a dirt modified. Schrader will wrap things up Labor Day Monday at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds where he’ll race in the ARCA RE/MAX Series Southern Illinois 100.(ARCA PR)(8-26-2009)
