UPDATE: Save-A-Lot food stores announced that it is joining the fight against breast cancer by partnering with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest breast cancer advocacy organization, for the remainder of 2009. In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Save-A-Lot food stores will unveil a “pinked out” version of their #60 Save-A-Lot Ford to be driven by Carl Edwards in this Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway. Through its partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Save-A-Lot has pledged $100,000 to aid in the fight against breast cancer and to raise awareness through the millions of NASCAR fans at the track and watching from home.
