In what marked his debut behind the wheel of a dirt modified, 2009 ARCA Champion Justin Lofton made the best of it, taking home the Wild Turkey Classic win on Saturday night at Imperial Valley Speedway in Imperial, California. “I had great time. I was worried going into the weekend since I had never raced in a purpose built dirt car. I picked it up really quick and had a blast,” Lofton said. Piloting the #7 Weekend Warriors TV/MasterCraft Safety modified, Lofton was one of 18 cars entered in the post-Thanksgiving event. With the 2010 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season not set to begin until February, the newest addition to Red Horse Racing still has a full schedule. His next stop following his Wild Turkey Classic win will be in Covington, Kentucky this Saturday to formerly accept his ARCA championship at the season-ending awards banquet. He’ll then head to Mooresville, N.C. in order to attend the Stocks for Tots benefit next Tuesday, December 8, at the Charles Mack Citizen Center.(Lofton Racing PR)(12-1-2009)
