Jason Bowles is set to go out with a bang. After three years, the Ontario resident will be making his final appearance in a Bob Bruncati-owned race car in this weekend’s seventh annual NASCAR Toyota All-Star Showdown at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. The 27-year-old Bowles now is trying to piece together a package so he can continue racing. Bowles said he is trying to work out a NASCAR Nationwide Series package. Bowles made his debut in the Nationwide Series last November in Phoenix [in the #61 Ford of Specialty Racing[. He moved up to near the top 15 before getting tangled in someone else’s accident. He finished 31st. He does not know when a deal will be accomplished and is hoping it will happen before the series gets to Auto Club Speedway in February.
