Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the Subway Jalapeno 250 at Daytona International Speedway. It was his 23rd Nationwide Series win (ranks ninth all time) in his 115th start and his 15th win in the No. 3. His last win came at Michigan in August 2006. It was Junior’s sixth series win at Daytona, one behind his father, the late Dale Earnhardt Sr.
Earnhardt Sr. won 22 times in the Wrangler #3.
Richard Childress Racing posted its 56th Nationwide win and first win of 2010.
Chevrolet posted its 26th Nationwide Daytona win and fourth victory of 2010.
Joey Logano (second) has finished in the top 10 in 11 of his 12 starts in 2010.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (third) scored his career-best finish.
Brad Keselowski (four) got his 16th straight top-10 finish; he extended his points lead to 277 over Carl Edwards.
Kevin Harvick (fifth) has finished in the top 10 in his previous 12 races.
Brian Ickler (ninth) scored his career-best finish.
The past six Daytona summer races finished under green-white-checkered.
