California Rookie Notes:


Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the October 2 Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway. Stenhouse Jr. scored a sixth-place finish, his sixth top-10 of the season. He earned top rookie honors for the fourth consecutive race and for the 10th time in 2010.
Stenhouse Jr. used his good finish at Kansas to take the lead in the overall Raybestos Rookie standings over Brian Scott. The two are separated by just five points (205-200) entering the CampingWorld.com 300 at Auto Club Speedway.
Michael Annett was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the 2009 CampingWorld.com 300, scoring a sixth-place finish.
Carl Edwards (2005) is the only Raybestos Rookie to win the fall race at Auto Club Speedway. Edwards crossed the finish line 1.710 seconds ahead of second-place finisher Greg Biffle. He is also the only Raybestos Rookie to score a top-five finish in six fall races at the 2.0-mile speedway.
The 2009 fall race at Auto Club Speedway marked the first time in six fall races that TWO or more Raybestos Rookies finished in the top-10: Annett and Brendan Gaughan (seventh).
The only Raybestos Rookie to win a pole position in 20 previous races at Auto Club Speedway is Steve Park (1997). Park captured the top starting position for the first NASCAR Nationwide Series race ever at Auto Club Speedway.
