UPDATE: Justin Allgaier has reached an agreement to drive in the Nationwide Series for Turner Motorsports, according to a source close to the situation. Turner Motorsports, formerly Braun Racing, has scheduled a news conference for Friday at Texas Motor Speedway to announce its 2011 driver, sponsor and manufacturer lineup. Turner will field three Nationwide teams and three Truck Series teams next year, with Ricky Carmichael and James Buescher already announced as Truck Series drivers. Allgaier, the 2009 Nationwide rookie of the year, currently is the highest ranked non-Sprint Cup driver in the Nationwide Series. He’s in fourth place, driving the #12 car for Penske Racing. Team owner Roger Penske said in June he planned to do everything to keep Allgaier, but with sponsor Verizon disappearing from his car, the driver was given permission to look for another ride.(ESPN.com)(11-4-2010)
