#99-Carl Edwards won the FORD 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway for his 2nd win of 2010 and 18th win of his career. #48-Jimmie Johnson won the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Championship by 36 points over #29-Kevin Harvick. It is Johnson FIFTH Championship, only the third driver in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series history to do so.
#48-Johnson finished second followed by #29-Harvick, #9-Almirola [his 1st career top 5), $43-Allmendinger, #83-Kahne, #39-Newman, #14-Stewart, #17-Kenseth and #16-Biffle. Points leader going in to the race, #11-Hamlin finished 14th and fell to 3rd in the points standings.
There were 22 lead changes among 8; 10 cautions for 41 yellow flag laps. The attendance was reported at 67,000 down a tad from last year’s 70,000.
