MacDonald Motorsports is still looking for drivers for the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR K&N East Series. The team also has cars available to buy, rent for a test day, or even rent for a race.(MacDonald Motorsports) Michael McDowell drove for the team in 2010.(12-16-2010)
UPDATE: Another team with an uncertain future is MacDonald Motorsports. After running a full schedule with driver Michael McDowell in the #81 Dodge last season, making the field in all but two races and averaging a 26.7 finish, the team has not announced a driver or sponsor lineup for 2011. A team spokesman tells WSB that details about a driver, crew chief, sponsor, or schedule are still up in the air and unannounced. The team is, according to its website, offering cars for rent for both test sessions and races. This likely is due to an obsolete inventory of racecars, because of NASCAR’s implementation of the Nationwide Car of Tomorrow for every 2011 race, which is a limiting factor in many small teams’ efforts.
