Teams in all three NASCAR series in action at Dover this weekend will run the same tire codes, though the Sprint Cup and Nationwide tires will be branded “Goodyear Eagle,” while the Camping World Truck tires will be branded “Goodyear Wrangler” . . . this is the same combination of left- and right-side tires that teams in these series ran at Dover last season . . . this tire set-up was re-confirmed at a Goodyear tire test at Dover last month . . . teams/drivers participating in that test were the #11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota with Denny Hamlin, #24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevy with Jeff Gordon and #43 Richard Petty Motorsports Ford with A.J. Allmendinger . . . Dover is unique in that it is the only NASCAR oval one mile or less in length on which teams run inner liners in all four tire positions . . . generally, on mile tracks and short tracks, teams do not run any inner liners, while Bristol is the other exception on which teams run liners in their right-side tires only . . . air pressure in the inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire. The estimated pit window for Sprint Cup cars is every 74-78 laps, based on fuel mileage (Goodyear), see full notes, tire codes, pressures and more on the Dover Race Info page – Goodyear section.(5-13-2011)
