Originally scheduled for the Coke Zero 400 in July, Steve Park will now drive the Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) #35 ÂOle Blue Tribute Chevy in the Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday, September 25th. With the announcement of the TBRÂs new partner Luke & Associates and the companyÂs five-race deal, the team needed to shift the tribute car to another date. The team decided it was best for Steve Park to pilot the #35 ÂOle Blue Chevy in the modified country of New England. The team chose the Sylvania 300 at NHMS on Sunday, September 25th in order to give more time to raise funds for the tribute car. With a goal of $100,000, the cost to run the race, the tribute raised a mere $3,000 to this point. For each contribution starting at $20, fans will have the opportunity to add their name to the Len Boehler tribute car that will race in the Sylvania 300. All proceeds exceeding $100,000, the cost to race in the Sylvania 300, will be donated by TBR to the Victory Junction Gang Camp. Fans can visit www.tommybaldwinracing.com/team/ole-blue for more information and to make a contribution. ÂWe needed to buy more time to get more fans involved, explained Baldwin. ÂWe havenÂt raised near enough money yet. We picked a New England race to try to get more fans of modified racing involved, which is our goal.Â(TBR)(6-9-2011)
