Peters head to home track; site of 1st series win:

Timothy Peters, a Danville, Virginia native will be traveling home this weekend. Peters lives approximately 15 minutes away from the entrance of Martinsville Speedway. The 31-year old Red Horse Racing driver has been watching races at the historic “paperclip” since he was a child. In 2005, Peters won the Bailey’s 300 Late Model race at Martinsville. That day he took home a grandfather clock and $25,000 prize. In 2009, only months after joining Red Horse Racing, Peters earned his first career Truck Series victory at his home track, Martinsville Speedway. Since then, Peters has compiled two more wins at Daytona International Speedway in 2010 and earlier this season at Lucas Oil Raceway. Peters will be driving the the #17 GearWrench/Strutmaster Toyota Tundra. This is the same truck that Peters drove to a win at Lucas Oil Raceway earlier this season and a fifth-place finish at Martinsville Speedway in the spring.(Red Horse Racing PR)(10-25-2011)
