Austin Dillon and the Bass Pro Shops team plan to debut a brand new chassis this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Chassis No. 023 was built in-house by the #3-Bass Pro Shops team this season and Dillon tested it at Caraway Speedway in North Carolina last week.
According to NASCAR’s Loop Data Statistics:
*Dillon leads all NCWTS drivers with an average running position of 7.354 in the season’s first 24 races.
*He has the series’ highest driver rating (106.3), the highest average starting position (4.9), highest percentage of laps led among championship contending drivers (12 percent), highest percentage of fastest laps among all drivers (12.6 percent)
*He is ranked as the fastest championship contending driver early in a run with an average running position of 4.650 and fastest championship contending driver late in a run with an average running position of 5.3.
*He has the fastest green-flag speed among championship contending drivers with an average rank of 5.250
*He has completed the highest percentage of laps on the lead lap among all drivers (91.75 percent) and has completed 86.4 percent of his laps in the top 15, ranking him first among all drivers.(Richard Childress Racing PR)(11-15-2011)
