Lofton trekked to Florida early this week in order to spend some time at sponsor CollegeComplete.com’s headquarters in Deerfield Beach before heading to Homestead for Friday night’s race. On Friday, the College Complete headquarters will close early in order for the staff members to shuttle to Homestead to support Lofton and the #6 CollegeComplete.com Chevrolet Silverado. Before heading to Homestead, the staff will be visited by a representative from the Community Blood Centers of South Florida in order to take more than 40 cheek swabs for registry in the National Marrow Donor Program. Dan Haim, co-founder of CollegeComplete.com knows all too well the importance of donor testing. His mother Eve was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disorder, Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).
