#14-Tony Stewart won the 13th Annual FORD 400, his 44th victory in 464 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, clinching his third series championship. Stewart owned the tie-breaker, five wins to second-place Carl Edwards’ one.
Stewart is the seventh champion to win the season finale in his championship season.
There were 26 lead changes among 15 leaders. Both marks are track records.
This is Stewart’s fifth victory and 19th top-10 finish in 2011.
This is Stewart’s third victory and seventh top-10 finish in 13 races at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
#99-Carl Edwards (second) posted his seventh top-10 finish in eight races at Homestead-Miami Speedway. It is his 26th top-10 finish in 2011.
