Austin Dillon named to 2011 All-America Team:

The American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association (AARWBA) has announced its All-America Team for 2011, following a vote by the national motorsports professionals belonging to the organization. As it has done since 1970, the group elects teams of drivers to represent the broad spectrum of professional racing in the United States, then brings all the winners together in a gala diner where each is presented with the organization’s coveted “Horsepower” trophy, symbolizing outstanding performance in each category. Rising star Austin Dillon is on the All-America Team for his championship in the tough NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, the youngest NASCAR titleholder at age 21. Just as they battled on the racetrack, Tony Stewart and Carl Edwards are the two winners in Stock Car. Stewart earned his third NASCAR Sprint Cup Series title while Edwards finished second on a tie-breaker. The 42nd AARWBA All-America Team Banquet takes place on Sunday, January 8, 2012 in the beautiful Grand Hall at the Train Station of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Indianapolis, IN.(MotorAuthority.com)(12-6-2011)
