  • Derrike Cope to drive for new team at Daytona: UPDATE: From a Facebook post, “I will however have a ride in the Nationwide Series in a new effort with partners Dave Fuge and Gary Keller, with Dale Clemons assisting us as well. It will be called CFK Motorsports, the car number will be 73 and it will be a Chevy with PME engines. So, I am excited about the horsepower and the new cars that we will have at our disposal. We are still looking for sponsorship for the season, But we do have a new sposnor for the race at Daytona.” (2-20-2012)
    UPDATE: Derrike Cope and Tito’s Handmade Vodka have teamed up for the NASCAR Nationwide Series rac at Daytona. Derrike, the 1990 Daytona 500 winner, plans to run all year in the #73 Chevy with PME engines. Tito’s Handmade Vodka is produced in Austin at Texas’ first and oldest legal distillery.(Cope PR), see an image of the car on the #73 team paint schemes page.(2-21-2012)
