James Buescher avoided “the big one” on the last lap at the season-opening NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) to capture his first career NASCAR victory. A number of late-race cautions bunched the field up for a green-white-checkered finish. Buescher had the #30 Fraternal Order of Eagles Chevrolet in the eighth spot coming to the checkered flag when a multi-car wreck broke out in front of him. He maneuvered his machine to the low side of the race track and avoided the melee to take the checkered flag and capture his first ever NASCAR victory.(Turner Motorsports PR)(2-26-2012)
