Teams in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will run the same tire codes at Auto Club Speedway this weekend . . . while these teams ran this right-side tire code at this track in 2011, this is a brand new left-side code . . . compared to what was run at Fontana last year, this left-side features mold shape and construction changes, which will give the cars more grip . . . this tire set-up came out of a Goodyear test at Fontana last October 18 . . . participating in that test were #16-Greg Biffle, Landon Cassill in the #48 HMS Chevy, Sam Hornish in the #22 Penske Racing Dodge and David Reutimann in the #00 MWR Toyota . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Fontana . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire. See full notes with tire pressures, codes and more on the Auto Club Race Info page – Goodyear section.(3-22-2012)
