With the victory, Earnhardt Jr. broke a 143-race winless streak, the sixth-longest stretch between wins in NASCAR Sprint Cup history.
This is his second victory and ninth top-10 finish in 26 races at Michigan International Speedway. His last career victory also came at Michigan, also on Father’s Day.
#14-Tony Stewart (second) posted his 19th top-10 finish in 27 races at Michigan International Speedway. It is his seventh top-10 finish in 2012.
#17-Matt Kenseth (third) posted his 17th top-10 finish in 26 races at Michigan International Speedway.
