Teams in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will run the same Goodyear tire codes at New Hampshire this weekend . . . these are two brand new tire codes for NASCAR teams . . . this tire set-up came out of a Goodyear test at New Hampshire on May 8-9 . . . teams and drivers participating in that test were the #27 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet with Paul Menard, #47 JTG-Daugherty Racing Toyota with Bobby Labonte, #78 Furniture Row Racing Chevrolet with Regan Smith, #88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet with Dale Earnhardt Jr. and #99 Roush Fenway Racing Ford with Carl Edwards . . . compared to what was run at New Hampshire last year, this left-side tire code features a compound change, while this right-side tire code features a compound change and a construction change to bring into line with what is run at other speedways . . . as on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at New Hampshire. See tire codes, pressures, sets and nore on the New Hampshire Race Info page – Goodyear section. Goodyear will donate one dollar for every tire sold at participating Goodyear dealers in the U.S. from July 1 until August 31, up to $250,000, to benefit Support Our Troops.
