Kyle Busch Motorsports announced today that Drew Herring will make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut driving the team’s flagship #18 Tundra in the American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway in Newton on Sept. 15. Herring has eight career starts in the NASCAR Nationwide Series , including an 11th-place finish after qualifying fifth in his most recent start at Iowa Speedway last August. Last season, the Benson, N.C. native finished 12th or better in all four of his NNS starts for Joe Gibbs Racing, collecting two top-10 finishes while leading 39 laps and completing all 929 laps available. The addition of Herring completes the driver lineup on the #18 Tundra for the 2012 season. Jason Leffler will drive the truck in six of the remaining 12 races, Brian Scott will be behind the wheel four more times while Herring and Denny Hamlin will each compete in one race.(Kyle Busch Motorsports PR)(7-25-2012)
