Carl Edwards Stars in New ESPN NASCAR Promotional Spot:

#99- Carl Edwards stars in the second spot in ESPN’s ‘Nothing Beats First Place’ NASCAR ad campaign that will debut in ESPN’s telecast of Sunday’s Brickyard 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Indianapolis race kicks off ESPN’s telecasts of the final 17 NASCAR Sprint Cup races of the season, including all 10 in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. A spot featuring #48-Jimmie Johnson with a porcupine named ‘Pricklebear’ has been airing for several weeks, and two other spots featuring Denny Hamlin and Brad Keselowski will air later this season. The humorous ads show the drivers enduring various unhappy moments, but none are worse than losing a race. Edwards ‘ spot focuses on things that frighten him, including a nod to a scene from the popular movie ‘Home Alone,’ but losing and not winning scare him more. Wieden + Kennedy is the creative agency for the campaign.(ESPN)(7-29-2012)
