Crum to race for breast cancer awareness at Bristol; image added:

When Jake Crum takes to the track at Bristol this Wednesday evening for the UNOH 200, he won’t just be driving for the checkered flag. Breast cancer will affect approximately 12 percent of women in the United States, and to help raise awareness and support for the early detection and treatment of this disease, Jake will be driving a special pink edition #01 BanditChippers.com Silverado for the race. Bristol will mark Jake’s fourth NASCAR start for the 2012 season, but this one is a bit more personal than most. He’ll be racing for breast cancer research, but he’ll also be racing for Joy Vance, his aunt who has been diagnosed with the disease. While Jake is turning laps at Bristol, Bandit’s hometown crowd will be cheering him on while supporting the cause. A special watch party is planned at Freddie’s Tavern in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, with a portion of the evening’s proceeds going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Bandit has also pledged to match those proceeds dollar for dollar.(Bandit Industries PR) [Image of the #01-BanditChippers.com Chevrolet is posted on the #01 NCWTS 2012 Paint Schemes page.](8-21-2012)
