Goody’s Returns to Martinsville Speedway as Sponsor of Fall Cup Event:

One of the longest and most successful partnerships in NASCAR history continued to grow today with the announcement that Goody’s Powder will return to Martinsville Speedway in 2013 as the sponsor of the fall Sprint Cup race. The Goody’s Fast Relief 500, scheduled for Oct. 27, 2013, will mark the 33rd Martinsville race sponsored by the fast pain relief product in six different divisions. Goody’s first sponsored a Sprint Cup race at Martinsville in the fall of 1983, a race won by Ricky Rudd. For the past several seasons, Goody’s has been the sponsor of the spring Sprint Cup race at Martinsville, but opted to sponsor the fall event beginning in 2013. Martinsville in the fall is nothing new for the long-time sponsor. From 1983 through 1995 their name was attached to the fall event. Goody’s will mark 26 years of involvement at Martinsville with the 2013 Goody’s Fast Relief 500. They sponsored at least one race a year at Martinsville from 1983 through 2000, then returned in 2006 and has sponsored a race every year since.(Martinsville Speedway)(9-21-2012)
