Track workers are drying the track at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which is still wet in areas from ice/snow/rain. The drying process has been slowws due to ice melting from behind the SAFER barriers, keeping areas of the track wet. Cars are now expected to take to the track 12:00-1:00pm/et range. The end of testing has changed, teams will be allowed to test until 7:30pm/et tonight, under the lights. There is no scheduled televison or online streaming of the testing. Of Note, when the cars go out, the #11 will be tested by Michael McDowell, standing in for Denny Hamlin, who is still on baby watch. There are no plans for testing to continue or be expanded on Saturday, Jan 19th.
