Kurt Busch moved over to the #78 team with six races to go in the 2012 season, starting at Charlotte. Busch finished in the top ten the final three races. Crew chief Todd Berrier moved over for the #47 JTG Daughtery Racing team midway thru the season. The team is based in Denver, CO. FRR flirted and talked to Dodge about becoming their flagship team and starting a 2nd team, keeping former driver Regan Smith [now in the NNS with JR Motorsports and part time in Buschs 2012 ride, the #51 Phoenix Racing team] but Dodge decided to leave the sport instead after the 2012 season. FRR remains affiliated with Richard Childress Racing and gets chassis and engines from RCR/ECR. FRR willfield its own pit crew in 2013 rather than using a crew from Stewart-Haas Racing as they did the past few years. See images of the #78 scheme on my #78 Team Schemes page .
