Canada race dubbed Chevy Silverado 250:

The only Canadian stop for the Camping World Truck Series and the first ever NASCAR event to be held at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park will be billed at the Chevy Silverado 250. Just a 20 minute drive from General Motors Canada headquarters, the branding initiative coincides with the launch of the all-new 2014 Chevy Silverado. Formerly known as Mosport, the historic Canadian race track (and one of the worlds fastest) annually hosts the American Le Mans Series and is a one time Formula One venue. After recently switching owners the track has undergone a massive renovation in the off season. Upgrades include an expanded pit stall area to accommodate a NASCAR event, on-track upgrades with larger paved runoff areas, a modified front-straight and a massive new complex to house media and VIP events. On hand for the announcement, track co-owner Ron Fellows did not rule himself out from participating in the upcoming race, telling media that he hasnt ‘eliminated that as an option.” Fellows is a long-time racer, and an accomplished on at that, having won the 24 Hours of Daytona as well as the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times. In his NASCAR history Fellows has two wins and three poles in the Camping World Truck Series, as well as four wins and two poles the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The Chevy Silverado 250 will take place the weekend of August 30 to September 1. ( AutoGuide.com )(4-29-2013) News from April 28, 2013
