He breaks a 218-race winless streak – second longest in series history (Bill Elliott, 226, 2001, Homestead-Miami Speedway) – dating to June 4, 2007 at Dover. This is his first victory and seventh top-10 finish in 2013. This is his first victory and second top-10 finish in eight races at Sonoma Raceway. He is the tracks ninth consecutive different winner and seventh different first-time road course winner at Sonoma. Jeff Gordon (second) posted his 17th top-10 finish in 21 races at Sonoma Raceway. It is his fifth top-10 finish in 2013. Carl Edwards (third) posted his fourth top-10 finish in nine races at Sonoma Raceway. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. (27th) was the highest finishing rookie.
