: Teams in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will run the same tire set-up at Daytona this week . . . this is the first time these teams will be running either of these two tire codes . . . this tire combination came out of a Goodyear tire test at Daytona on April 16-17 . . . teams and drivers participating in that test were the #1-Jamie McMurray, #5-Kasey Kahne, #10-Danica Patrick, #16-Greg Biffle, #17-Ricky Stenhouse Jr., #18-Michael McDowell, #21-Trevor Bayne, #33-Austin Dillon and #99-Carl Edwards . . . compared to what was run at Daytona in February, this tire set-up features a compound change on both sides of the car and a construction change to the left-side to bring it into line with what has been run at other tracks . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Daytona . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire. See tire codes, pressures, set limits and more on the Daytona Race Info page – Goodyear section
