#78-Kurt Busch kept his cool after being involved in a wreck with Ryan Newman that ended his chances of winning Sundays Sprint Cup race at New Hampshire, but his younger brother didnt. #18-Kyle Busch took several shots at Newman, who earlier in the week learned this would be his last season with Stewart-Haas Racing. ‘I really hate it that Kurt got tore up and I felt like he had the best car here today’ Kyle said to ESPN of his brother, who led a race-high 102 laps. ‘He was definitely good. He could definitely roll the long runs for sure and I was proud of those guys, but man just stupidity. I mean Ryan Newman is the biggest stupid idiot out here. And hes a big ogre and he can do whatever he wants because he can probably kick anybodys butt, so no sense in getting into a fight with him. But glad he is out of a job.” The incident occurred on lap 226 of 302. It turned a potential win into a 31st-place finish that dropped Kurt from ninth to 14th in the standings. Kurt didnt mention Newman after the incident, but said he got hit from behind. The driver behind him was #20-Matt Kenseth. Newman, who finished 39, said Kurt took himself out. ‘I guess [Kenseth] had a little influence on it’ Newman said. ‘We were kind of in a bad spot having a little bit older tires. “¦ Just a lot of disrespect from a bunch of guys on restarts. What comes around goes around.”( ESPN )(7-15-2013) UPDATE: Ryan Newman wasted little time responding to Kyle Busch calling him an ‘ogre” and ‘the biggest stupid idiot out here” following Sundays Sprint Cup race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Newman fired back Monday on SiriusXM NASCAR radio saying, ‘We know hes not very bright.” ‘Im sure if I rearrange his face I might fix it’ [Newman] said. ‘Hes frustrated finishing third [actually second] or wherever he was after hitting me first and then giving me a little rub down the straightaway. Just imagine how I feel. It is what it is. We know hes not very bright. Hes a heck of a talent, but not very bright.” Does that mean Newman, who is 19th in the standings and 36 points outside the top 10 needed to guarantee a spot in the Chase, might take revenge against Kyle who is seventh in points? I never said that’ Newman told SiriusXM. ‘If hes going to run his mouth, he better be able to back up running his mouth. It seems like after his comment about me not having a ride it seems like he has way more to lose than I do.” ( ESPN )
