Several NASCAR Sprint Cup teams – from those on the Chase bubble to title contenders – tested Monday and will do so Tuesday at Cup tracks. NASCAR allows teams four tests at tracks that host Cup races. Many teams saved at least some, if not all of their tests, for this time of the season. Stewart-Haas Racings Ryan Newman, Mark Martin and Danica Patrick are testing Monday and Tuesday at Richmond International Raceway. Theyll be joined by Travis Kvapil and David Reutimann of BK Racing and Swan Racings David Stremme. The Richmond race will determine the Chase field. Newman holds the final Wild Card spot heading into Sunday nights race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Chicagoland Speedway, which hosts the opening, had several teams testing today (Monday). They all will be back Tuesday. Testing are the teams of Joe Gibbs Racing, including Bristol winner Matt Kenseth, Michael Waltrip Racing, Richard Petty Motorsports and Penske Racing. Martinsville Speedway Oct. 7-9: Roush Fenway Racing Oct. 8-9: Furniture Row Racing, Brad Keselowski Racing Texas Motor Speedway Oct. 14-15: Hendrick Motorsports Oct. 16: Roush Fenway Racing.
