During a press conference today Richard Childress said that Richard Childress Racing would not field a full-time truck team in 2014. With drivers Ty Dillon and Brendan Gaughan moving to the Nationwide Series, RCR sold some of their trucks and equipment to Gallagher Motorsports, who is planning on running a full-time team with driver Joey Coulter next season. Additionally, Childress added that Earnhardt-Childress Racing engines would be supplied for NTS Motorsports and Sharp-Gallaher Racing. Childress concluded that a part-time #3 team may run some races next season, if a sponsor is found for driver Jeffrey Earnhardt.
