Last week, Busch announced that he was merging his personal foundation into the Armed Forces Foundation, where his girlfriend, Patricia Driscoll, is the executive director. Busch’s project within the foundation will focus on PTSD and he will use his Memorial Day double to help raise funds. ‘That is the battle that is unseen. There are the ones with the invisible wounds from the traumatic brain injury and the PTSD side and those are the ones that you have to open up a little bit, spend more time with and put your arm around them,’ Busch said Friday. ‘Patricia does a great job with her foundation to show them the way, to give them the support.’ Busch heavily participates in the ‘troops to the track’ program to help give military members a raceday experience. ‘I can help with just putting a smile on their face or diverting their focus for the day to have some fun,’ Busch said.(Sporting News)(3-6-2014)
