Empire Racing, a racing organization in both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and ARCA Racing Series as well as a development program announced Monday that Mike ‘Grumpy’ Cheek, crew chief, will expand his involvement with the team through Grumpy’s Performance, Inc. Team manager John Bellesfield and Excel Motorsports Services have parted ways with Empire Racing. Excel Motorsports Services was the firm managing the team. The team management firm Grumpy’s Performance, Inc. will immediately take over the operation of the team. Established in 2009 within the ARCA Racing Series, Empire Racing started to compete in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2012 with driver Sean Corr. With the partnership of Grumpy’s Performance, Inc., the team is scheduled to field a team at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with driver Jake Crum.(Empire Racing)(5-12-2014)
