Blake Koch posted on his Facebook page that he will ‘get to race a few Cup races in the #32 starting this weekend and also next weekend for the 600’. Koch drove the #35 for Front Row Motorsports at Phoenix in March and failed to qualify at Las Vegas. He had one Cup start last season – the fall Charlotte race in the #95 for Leavine Family Racing.(5-13-2014)
UPDATE: Go FAS Racing announced that Blake Koch will pilot the #32 Ford in the Sprint Showdown at Charlotte Motor Speedway as well as running the Coca-Cola 600 at CMS and the race at Dover on June 1st. ‘I had Blake in our part time cup ride last year at Charlotte and was very impressed with his ability to adapt to the increased horsepower from his Nationwide ride to the Cup car. We have a sponsor that would like to see how he can handle the grueling 600 mile race and Frank (Stoddard) and I also feel it’s time to start looking at a few drivers for the 2015 season now that Terry Labonte has announced that this will be his final season in NASCAR. The season is already one third over so it’s time to see who’s out there so we can make a final decision this fall on next years driver.’ commented Go FAS partner Archie St. Hilaire. Sponsorship for the races will be announced later this week.(Go FAS Racing)(5-13-2014)
