Circle Sport and Joe Falk today announced that Link-Belt Mid-Atlantic, a division of Link-Belt Construction Co. – a manufacturer of telescopic and lattice boom cranes for over 135 years – will sponsor David Stremme and the #90 Sprint Cup Series entry at Richmond International Raceway in tomorrow night’s Federated Auto Parts 400. Founded in 1992 with its home office in Ashland, Virginia, Link-Belt Mid-Atlantic also has a branch location in Chesapeake, Virginia, and serves the states of Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. ‘This is an example of a local company getting on board with our tribute to legendary NASCAR owner Junie Donlavey and using the experience to promote a goodwill gesture of their own. With everything we have planned for this weekend, we’re topping it off by having Link-Belt join us by wishing one of its own continued success.’ The hood of the #90 Chevy will display ‘Best of Luck, Jeff Weller.’ The message is a sendoff to Weller, a 28-year employee of Link-Belt Construction Equipment, who most recently served as general manager at Link-Belt Mid-Atlantic. Link-Belt Mid-Atlantic will adorn the quarter panels of the Truxmore-inspired livery made famous by Donlavey Racing in the 1970s and early ’80s. Link-Belt Construction Equipment Company is a leader in the design and manufacture of telescopic boom and lattice boom cranes for the construction industry worldwide.(Circle Sports)(9-6-2014)
