Kevin Harvick and the #4 Budweiser Chevrolet SS team secured the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship with a dominating victory in Sunday’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
The effort marks Budweiser’s second NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship as a primary sponsor in the racing series. The King of Beers’ previous title came in 1985 with Darrell Waltrip driving the #11 Budweiser Chevrolet for Junior Johnson & Associates. That year Waltrip won three races, scored 5 pole awards, and earned 18 top fives and 21 top-10 finishes.
In 32 seasons as a primary sponsor of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team, Budweiser Racing drivers have earned a total of 66 wins, 52 pole awards, 306 top fives and 527 top-10 finishes.
The 2014 season marks Budweiser’s fourth-consecutive year as one of Harvick’s primary sponsors in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and the brewer’s first season with Stewart-Haas Racing.
Harvick and the #4 Budweiser Chevrolet SS team earned five wins, 14 top fives, 20 top-10 finishes and eight pole awards en route to the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship.
