Affarano expanding team:

In an effort to provide a solid foundation for his business and provide greater appeal to sponsors, race car driver and team owner, Mike Affarano, announced today that he is working to increase his current stable of vehicles from NASCAR’s Camping World Trucks to now include race cars that are to run in NASCAR’s Xfinity Series starting in February’s inaugural Daytona race. Affarano has been in closed door talks and discussions with race driver and winner of the 2010 Snowball Derby: Johanna Long and her manager, Brett Griffin. Johanna Long the 22 year old from Pensacola, Florida has already made a name for herself with her 2010 Snowball Derby win and with over 66 starts in both the NASCAR Truck and Nationwide Series.
‘My desire is to secure sponsorship for Johanna and I to run the full season of NASCAR’s Camping World Truck and Xfinity Series that would be ideal for us,’ Mike stated. ‘But, I’d be willing to running a limited season or take a backseat and just be an owner if that means that Johanna can run a full season and be competitive against the other contenders on the field.’(Affarano Motorsports)(12-9-2014)
