In conjunction with NTS Motorsports, California Clean Power is pleased to announce that the #14 Chevy Silverado driven by Daniel Hemric will sport a special throwback paint scheme for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ 500th race on September 26th at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. As a tribute to all those who contributed to the success of the NCWTS over the past twenty years and Rick Carelli, his spotter and NTS Motorsports General Manager, Hemric’s #14 will carry the design and colors of the iconic Chevy Silverado that Carelli drove in the inaugural truck race at Phoenix International Raceway on February 4, 1995. Carelli, a time-honored fixture in the NASCAR garage known as “The High Plains Drifter,” has been an integral part of the Truck Series since its inception, when it was called the NASCAR Super Truck Series. Long time fans of the sport and the Truck Series will instantly recognize the red, blue, white and orange colors of Carelli’s Chevy. He was a regular in the Truck Series from 1995 until 2002, competing in 134 races, scoring four wins and 22 top fives.(See an image of the truck on the #14 Team Paint Schemes Page)(NTS Motorsports)(9-21-2015)
