Go Fas Racing to endorse OneOrlando Fund in Daytona UPDATE:

Go Fas Racing (GFR) announced that they will be working alongside their sponsors and local organizations to garner support for the OneOrlando fund next weekend at Daytona International Speedway. The OneOrlando fund was created by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer to help aid the victims of the June 12th terrorist attack at the Pulse Nightclub. During next weekend’s Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway the #32 Ford driven by Bobby Labonte will be displaying the website’s links and more information to urge all NASCAR fans and sponsors to donate directly to the cause in the name of our great sport. For GFR owner Archie St.Hilaire who is a native of Maine he understands firsthand the tragic impact of these types of events after witnessing the terrorist attack that took place during the Boston Marathon on April 15th, 2013. St. Hilaire is trusting that the efforts of his team will show that all NASCAR fans stand behind Orlando. For more informing on how you can join the effort, please visit www.OneOrlando.org, and spread the word on your favorite social media platform by using #OrlandoUnited. Donations can also be made on your mobile device by texting ORLANDO to 501501 to make a $10 donation.(Go Fas Racing Facebook)(6-25-2016)
UPDATE: Archie St. Hilaire, owner of the #32 GoFas Racing team, and driver Bobby Labonte are at Daytona International Speedway hoping to win the Coke Zero 400, but they’re also hoping to raise more than $100,000 for a group formed to benefit the victims of the June shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando and their families. Labonte said he was coming out of church on a Sunday morning when he began to hear the full details of the tragedy at the nightclub. ‘It affects everybody across the country, across the world, when something like that happens, he said. For the race, his #32 Ford features One Orlando and Orlando United decals. All the cars participating in the weekend racing also have decals in honor of the shooting victims. ‘It’s really great to help, to be a part of that,’ Labonte said. ‘We’re hoping to raise a lot of money for the fund.’ St. Hilaire said they’re focusing on encouraging people to text $10 to 501501. ‘We’re hoping to raise $100,000, $10 at a time,’ he said. ‘We think it’s a great cause. Pretty much the whole car has been donated,: he said. ‘There’s no money coming to the team out of this. It’s all donated. Donations also can be made to OneOrlando.org.(Daytona Beach News Journal, see images of the scheme on the #32 Team Schemes page
