Driver Matt Tifft welcomes Wastebits as a sponsor to his #19 Toyota Camry for the remainder of the 2017 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) schedule. In addition to the branding run in last week’s Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway event, Wastebits will have two more primary paint schemes this week at Richmond (Va.) International Raceway and next week at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. In addition to the three primary schemes, Wastebits will be featured in an associate position for the remainder of the season.
“With this month recognizing ways that we can work to improve the environment, there is no better time for Wastebits to join the No. 19 team.” said Matt Tifft, driver of the No. 19 Toyota Camry. “My goal over the next few weeks is to make sure that we spread positive environmental awareness both on and off the racetrack. I am excited to represent Wastebits for the rest of the season and look forward to giving them strong finishes each week.”
Wastebits is a software program that aims to eliminate illegal disposal of waste, while helping homeowners and businesses find proper disposal locations for waste. This partnership supports NASCAR Green initiatives with Tifft by encouraging consumers to be environmentally responsible with waste. There will be Matt Tifft signed apparel giveaways conducted by Wastebits over the next two weeks to help promote the race program along with proper waste disposal. The giveaway is operated through @Wastebits on their social platforms, or via the website https://gleam.io/3cUYD/matt-tifft-giveaway.
“Wastebits is a technology and services company that provides tools for the streamlined and sustainable management of recyclable industrial waste.” stated Dan Collins, President and CEO of Wastebits. “An average person produces 4.4 pounds of trash per day, resulting in about 1.5 tons of solid waste per year. Wastebits wants to empower its users with tools that support personal and corporate recycling initiatives.”
Richmond International Raceway and Toyota Racing will host a Wastebits show car in their fan midway display this week to help promote green initiatives. The car being featured in the Toyota green space will align with earth month and the promotion of a cleaner environment. Tifft will make an appearance Saturday morning at 8:30 in the Toyota green space to help educate and encourage proper waste disposal to race fans that visit RIR.
Matt Tifft will also attend Waste Expo 360 in New Orleans on behalf of Wastebits in May. Tifft will educate environmental leaders and industry decision makers about his NASCAR program and NASCAR green initiatives. During the Waste Expo, a live auction will be conducted where one of Tifft’s Wastebits branded firesuits will be auctioned off.
Tifft is coming off of a 16th place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway where Wastebits was featured as the primary sponsor. The team looks to build off of last week’s efforts in hopes to bring home a win for both Wastebits and Joe Gibbs Racing.
