MOORESVILLE, N.C. (May 8, 2018) – Young’s Motorsports announced today that Darrell “Bubba” Wallace, Jr., will join the team this weekend at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., to pilot the No. 20 Andy’s Frozen Custard Chevrolet Silverado in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) 37 Kind Days 250 Friday night.
The NASCAR Drive for Diversity alumnus brings a wealth of experience to Young’s Motorsports. Wallace has over two full seasons under his belt in the NCWTS with six wins, 15 top-fives and 27 top-10 finishes. He currently competes full-time as a rookie in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series, driving the famed No. 43 for Richard Petty Motorsports.
“I am really excited to have Bubba come over and drive for us this week,” said team President, Tyler Young. “He has so much experience in the Truck Series and always does a great job. We’re looking forward to a solid weekend.”
For more than three decades, Andy’s Frozen Custard has been serving up custard with only the freshest ingredients. The Andy’s Frozen Custard tradition was started by John and Carol Kuntz in Osage Beach, Mo., and eventually grew to nearby Springfield by storm. Their son Andy built the business from the ground up in the original Springfield location and it is now in 10 states with 50 locations across America.
“I always enjoy racing in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and am thankful for this opportunity with Young’s Motorsports,” said Wallace. “Kansas is a fast and fun track and I am ready to put our Andy’s Frozen Custard Chevy to the test.”
Friday’s NCWTS 37 Kind Days 250 at Kansas Speedway will be live at 8:30pm ET on FS1.
